Thanks for joining me for part 2 of my wedding recap. (If you missed part 1, start here!) Once our photographer captured the ceremony details, and our accessories, it was time for us to get dressed!
I wore a full ballgown crinoline under my dress (lots of poof!). With my hair and makeup already long finished, I had to put the crinoline on, then step in to my wedding dress. In all of my prior fittings, I’d slipped the dress on over my head (with help, of course!), so this was a bit of a challenge. Luckily I had my mom and sisters there for (literal) support, and layer arranging.
And then, it was time to accessorize!
And a few quick bridal shots of me all dolled up…
Next, it was Mr. Crafty’s turn.
Unfortunately, I can’t narrate what went on in the boys’ room, but I am told there was some tie-tying instruction for Mr. Crafty’s youngest brother. Here are a few photos of my very dapper Mr. Crafty…
Meanwhile, I nervously awaited our first look, which was only a few short moments away.
Our photographer came back to our room, and instructed me on how to sneak up behind Mr. Crafty while he waited for me outside. She snapped some candid photos that capture the anticipation, excitement, and joy of our first look.
Those few short moments together before the ceremony definitely helped ward off some of our pre-wedding jitters. (And I may or may not have very quickly cross-examined Mr. Crafty on whether all of the last minute tasks ever got finished, and how all of the final set up looked…The answer was yes, and everything looked fabulous, by the way)
I hope you enjoyed this recap! Next time I’ll share the full details of our self-uniting ceremony in part 3!
